Visiting people
Local service visits
As well as visiting people at home and in the community, we also visit people receiving care in mental health, learning disability and dementia care facilities across Scotland. On local service visits we meet with individuals, review care records and work to find out whether people are being treated in ways that are in line with best ethical, legal and professional practice. From these visits we make recommendations for individual care and treatment. We also make broader recommendations that will safeguard the rights of other people who use that facility or service.
