Principles into practice network

Working together to promote best practice

Promoting best practice isn't a job that we can do on our own and often what people think is 'best practice' varies depending on their experience and context. To help open the debate and to help identify, celebrate and share good practice, we set up the Principles into Practice Network. The Network is an on-line forum where people can share information about what works and what the challenges are when it comes to delivering principles based care and treatment. The work of the Network is guided by a steering group which has representatives from health and social work service providers, service users, carers and advocacy. The Network is also running an awards programme this year and will be hosting an event to celebrate good practice in mental health and learning disability services early in 2009.

How to join the network

Network membership is open to anyone with an interest in promoting principles based practice in mental health and learning disability services. To join, or for more information, just go to www.principlesintopractice.net and register your details. By registering you become a member of the Network which means that you will be able to access the discussion forums, share information with other members and receive regular e-mail updates about relevant publications, events etc.
