Quarterly statistics
We are notified when people are detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003 and the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 . We are also notified of all welfare guardianship powers granted under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000. We produce quarterly updates on the use of these laws.
Our quarterly statistics are published within three weeks of approval on our ReportsHub.
Please bear in mind that due to time delays in receiving and processing data, our quarterly statistics reports are not as accurate as our annual monitoring data.
